ANGLESEY FIRST RESPONDERS  - 'GO GREEN'

The Anglesey First Responders are now equiped to carry out their duties in the most inclement of weather, thanks to a donation from the local Community.

The scheme, which is made up totally of volunteers from the Island Community, assist the Ambulance Trust by providing backup for an early response in the form of Oxygen therapy or defibrillation to a casualty with breathing difficulties, or possibly with cardiac Arrest. All members are fully trained and regularly re-assesed by the Trust.

Thanks to a donation from ' Malltraeth Ymlaen' and Malltraeth Festival Committee, the AFR Scheme had been able to purchase fully functional, hi-viz jackets which makes working in inclement weather more bearable."This type of clothing is not cheap and we are very thankful to the Malltraeth Community for their donation" said Jane Roberts, a Team member.

Pictured wearing their new coats are members of the Malltraeth Area team together with Daydd Jones of Malltraeth Ymlaen.
