Anglesey First Response - On the Right Road!
The Anglesey First Response Scheme recently recieved two helping hands from the local communities of Holyhead and nearby Rhoscolyn.
Getting to the right spot has been made easier with thanks to a donation of four satelite navigation units from the Hoyhead Rotary. Finding addresses on the back lanes of Anglesey is never easy and the use of the navigational tools will aid the community volunteers in reaching casualties. Despatched by the Ambulance Service, the volunteers attend emergency calls in their locality and are always accompanied by the attendance of Ambulance Crews.
Meanwhile, customers and staff at the Silver Bay Caravan Site made a collection and kindly donated the sum of £406.17 towards the Anglesey First Response Scheme.A particularly popular area with tourists during the summer months, Rhoscolyn is a good example of where the use of Satelite Navigation Tools will be of value to the Team Members.
If you live on Anglesey and feel you could afford a few hours of your time towards helping your community, why not visit the Anglesey First Response Web Site at www.angleseyfirstresponse.co.uk and offer your help? Full training is given in conjunction with the Welsh Ambulance Trust.
