"Donations All Round"

They say that one good turn deserves another and those that kindly purchased a raffle ticket at the Anglesey County Show will be pleased to learn that their generosity has continued! By attempting to win a life sized Teddy Bear, participants were boosting the funds of the Anglesey First Response Scheme, a voluntary scheme which assists the Ambulance Service on the Island.

The winning ticket was purchased by Robert Jones of Gellilydan however he kindly chose to donate the smiling bear to the Childrens Ward at Ysbyty Gwynedd.

Due to infection controls the bear had to be donated to an individual to take home and the lucky individual was three year old Geraint David Farlow-Williams from Llanerchymedd. Geraint had been a patient on the ward for a week and was more than happy to accept the gift, said his grandmother, Michelle. However the smiling bear will also be shared amongst his brothers and sisters in yet another act of kindness.

Robert Thomas, team co-ordinator AFR for Holyhead area said "We are just pleased that the bear has gone to such a loving home"
